There are two comfortable holiday homes at Lower Farm ideal for couples - Cranberry Cottage and Stiperstones View .

The small village of Shelve enjoys panoramic views of the surrounding hills, from the  Stiperstones in the east to the majestic Corndon Hill just over the Welsh  border to the west.

Lower Farm  is a registered smallholding in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The house and outbuildings have been lovingly restored using sustainable materials and traditional building techniques.  The whole project, including the creation of the self-catering holiday accommodation, has been designed to preserve the  character of the farmstead and its setting. This has meant using recycled and local materials as far as possible, and native plants and trees in the restoration of the landscape. You are welcome to wander over our four acres of pastureland, which are home to a dozen sheep. The vegetable garden, from which visitors enjoy produce in season, is run on organic principles.

There are a variety of walks starting from the property, ranging from a leisurely stroll to Shelve Pool (a SSSI due to the way the vegetation grows on the water surface), a trip round ancient mine remains, bronze age stone circles or visit to Bishops Castle via the Shropshire Way.  None of these require a car.
